Description: The week of March 11-15 is Civic Literacy Week in America. The concept of civics in the United States embraces disagreements and encourages a search for compromise. In recent years, that concept seems to have been forgotten, as the nation struggles with difficult issues that have spawned deep political division. He began his career as a printer’s apprentice with Juan Pascoe at his renowned letterpress studio Taller Martin Pescador (Kingfisher Workshop) in Tacámbaro, Michoacán. At the age of 21, Rodríguez immigrated to Los Angeles and became a printmaker at Self Help Graphics.
